Stephanie Schwartz, MHSA, FACHE, is a recognized and accomplished health care leader known for her collaborative approach and commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Schwartz has served as president of Overlook Medical Center since 2021 and, in 2026, also assumed the role of interim president of Chilton Medical Center. Her leadership at Overlook has earned significant recognition, including being named to ROI-NJ’s ROI Influencers: Women in Business list in 2022 and its ROI Influencers: Power List in the Health Care/Life Sciences category in 2023.
Beyond her leadership responsibilities at Atlantic Health, Schwartz is actively engaged in organizations that support the health and well-being of communities throughout New Jersey. She serves on the board of CUMAC, an organization dedicated to addressing food insecurity, and is a member of the Board of Trustees of NJ Sharing Network and the Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Union County.
Schwartz joined Atlantic Health in 2016 as president of Chilton Medical Center. Under her leadership, Chilton continued to strengthen its reputation for clinical excellence, including being named the No. 1 midsize hospital in New Jersey by Castle Connolly for six consecutive years and being recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a high-performing hospital in multiple specialties.
Schwartz graduated summa cum laude from the University of Maryland and earned a Master of Science in Health Services Administration from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
Before joining Atlantic Health, Schwartz held a variety of administrative and leadership positions at Southern Ocean County Hospital in Manahawkin and Community Medical Center in Toms River. Earlier in her career, she also served in hospital leadership roles in Maryland and Pennsylvania.
